After a life of abuse and prejudice, many people expect to get into heaven. They want their delights to be eternal. That's why many run to faith as it gives them a false sense of security that they're doing it in the name of something. For many, their idea of heaven is a place where they can continue expressing their prejudice and their self-aggrandization. There is no such thing as eternal pleasure, and those who seek it are the ones who are making this world worse for others.
